Retrieval-augmented generation with semantic chunking, vector search, and citations. The model answers only what your sources actually say — and says "I don't know" when they don't.

Voice in, voice out

Whisper-grade transcription for spoken input, ElevenLabs studio TTS for natural replies, multi-language support. Fallback providers wired in so a single outage never takes the system offline.

AI-generated training video

From a SOP to a presenter-ready video in minutes — Claude scripts the narrative, ElevenLabs or Synthesia gives it a voice, ffmpeg stitches the slides. Used in production at Gilpin.

Semantic search

Find by meaning, not keywords. Embeddings (OpenAI text-embedding-3-small) over your whole knowledge base, returning the most relevant chunks across hundreds of documents.

Memory + personalisation

Per-user and per-admin persistent memory. Facts the AI learns about each person stick across sessions, with audit-trailed corrections so older versions never silently disappear.

Governance + sign-off

HOD review queues, reliability tiers, trust/staleness scoring, full audit log of every admin action. Safety-escalation routing built into the AI prompts for safeguarding and statutory queries.

Spaced-repetition learning

Auto-generated quizzes (cached by content hash so they only regenerate when the source changes), XP, streaks, badges, daily challenges. Gamification when the brief calls for retention, not just access.

Multi-app architecture

Staff-facing app + admin tool on shared data, with department-scoped access. Two front doors to one system — each tuned to the user, all writes audit-logged.

System integrations

Google Drive/Docs for content, HR (Employment Hero) for authoritative people data, Knack for live operational records, Synthesia for avatar video. Whatever you already use, we wire it in.

Plato — the AI training platform for The Gilpin Hotel.

A five-star Lake District hotel needed every staff member, across eight departments, answered instantly and accurately — without losing the warmth that earned the Relais & Châteaux badge. We built two apps sharing one knowledge base: a staff-facing chat trained on Gilpin's own SOPs, and Prof Plato, the admin tool where HODs author and govern the source material.
